How this handbook works
-
New to selling on Amazon? Start with Part 1: Getting Set Up and work through it in order. It covers your business setup and opening your Amazon seller account before you touch ArbiSource.
-
Already have an Amazon.com seller account? Skip the Amazon setup (Chapters 1–3) and go straight to the ArbiSource chapters:
- 4.1 Choosing your ArbiSource plan
- 4.2 Signing up and connecting Amazon
- 4.3 Settings that make the numbers right
- 4.4 Your first look at the Vault
Just check you're on Amazon's Professional plan first (why).
-
Want to get going today? Follow the one-page Quick Start.
Two speeds
The handbook has two layers:
- The Quick Start. A one-page checklist that takes you from sign-up to your first leads, and your first Test-buy during the trial. It tells you what to do and links to the chapter that explains why.
- The chapters. The full library, grouped into nine Parts. Each chapter covers one topic in depth, with examples in dollars and links to the matching ArbiSource feature.
Use whichever suits you. Neither layer assumes you've read the other.
How each chapter is laid out
Most chapters follow the same pattern:
- What you'll learn: a short summary at the top.
- The explanation: the topic in plain English.
- In ArbiSource: where the topic shows up in the app and how to use it.
- Videos: clips from ArbiSource and from our partners Jasmine (SellerAmp), Miles (Flips4Miles) and Warner (Fields of Profit), who use ArbiSource on Amazon.com.
- Checklist: what to do before you move on.
About the videos
Our partners' videos are recorded on the US version of ArbiSource, with US retailers and dollar prices, so they match what you'll see. We link to the exact minute that's relevant, so you don't have to watch a whole video to find one feature.
Some of ArbiSource's own videos show an earlier version of the interface. The features work the same way, but the screens look a little different. We say so wherever an older video appears, and a few were recorded on the UK version in pounds; we point that out too.
Words and numbers
- Prices for ArbiSource and Amazon plans are in US dollars. Sales tax may be added depending on where you are.
- Amazon's fees change from time to time. When we quote a fee, we link to Amazon's official page. If the live page shows something different, the live page wins.
- Taxes: we cover just enough about sales tax, income tax and Amazon's tax forms to get your numbers and records right. Your returns and filings are a job for a CPA or tax professional, and we recommend having one from the start.
- Units: weights are in pounds and ounces, sizes in inches, and storage in cubic feet, as Amazon US uses them.
- Jargon is explained when it first appears and collected in the Glossary.
What this handbook covers, and what it doesn't
Covered: buying from US retailers and selling on Amazon.com through FBA, using ArbiSource to find and check products. That includes online arbitrage (OA), retail arbitrage (RA), Amazon-to-Amazon flips (A2A) and wholesale.
Not covered: selling on Amazon Canada, Mexico or Brazil, Amazon's European marketplaces, and private label (creating your own brand). ArbiSource supports the US and UK marketplaces only.
Where to ask for help
- Inside ArbiSource: the in-app welcome guide tours every feature with video guides (you're taken there when you first join, and can return any time). More short videos are in Guides & Tips on the Help page (Help is at the bottom of the sidebar).
- Email: support@arbisource.com. Write from the email address your ArbiSource account uses, and include a screenshot if something looks wrong, so the team can find your account and fix it on the first reply.
- Community: the ArbiSource Discord, where sellers swap tips. The link is inside the app.
ArbiSource is self-serve software, so there are no one-on-one onboarding calls. This handbook does that job instead, at your own pace.
