Chapter 4.2: Signing up and connecting Amazon

What you'll learn: how to create your ArbiSource account and connect it to your Amazon.com seller account, plus how to fix the few things that occasionally go wrong.

Step by step

  1. Start your free trial at arbisource.com.
  2. Type your email address carefully. It becomes your login and how support identifies you. Check it twice.
  3. Leave the email box unchecked. The sign-up form has a box labeled "I do NOT want to receive any emails from ArbiSource, including a trial reminder." Leave it unchecked so your trial reminders, getting-started tips and scan notifications reach you.
  4. Choose the US marketplace. You can't change it yourself later, and your billing will be in dollars.
  5. Authorize ArbiSource with Amazon. Click Authorise with Amazon >> (the button uses the British spelling). You'll be sent to Amazon to sign in to your Amazon.com seller account and approve the connection. This lets ArbiSource read live pricing and check your restrictions. It can't list, buy or change anything in your account.
  6. Choose your plan and billing (monthly or annual), then add your payment card. You won't be charged until your free trial ends.
  7. Take the welcome tour. Once you're in, you land on the in-app welcome guide, which walks through every feature with a short video. It's always available at app.arbisource.com/welcome.

Troubleshooting the connection

What you seeWhat it meansWhat to do
"This seller account is already associated with another account"Your Amazon account is linked to a different ArbiSource account, usually an old one or one created with a mistyped emailDon't create another account. Email support from your current address with your Seller ID, and they'll reconnect you to the right account
The Vault is empty, or the app looks blankUsually the first sync hasn't finished, or your filters are hiding everythingLog out and back in, give it a little time, and check your filters (see 4.3)
Restriction checks or other Amazon-linked features don't work yetWith a brand-new seller account, Amazon can take up to 5 days to switch on access for third-party software. It can also happen if Seller Central needs something from youIf your account is new, give it up to 5 days. Otherwise, finish any outstanding tasks in Seller Central, then re-authorize from your Account page
You signed up to the UK marketplace by mistakeThe marketplace is set at sign-upEmail support. They can move you to the US, and you'll then re-authorize with your Amazon.com seller account

Need to change your email address, or connect a different Amazon seller account? You can't unlink an Amazon account yourself. Email support and they'll do it for you; then re-authorize with the new account.
