Your first 90 days

A plain checklist to pace your first three months. No rewards or challenges, just habits that build on each other. Times are a guide; do what fits your week.

Before day 1

  • Amazon.co.uk Professional seller account is live (or you've decided when you'll open it)
  • You've chosen sole trader or limited company, or booked time with an accountant (Chapter 2)
  • You know you'll pick the £ / UK ArbiSource marketplace at sign-up

Day 1

  • Start the ArbiSource trial on a plan that fits; skim Compare Features
  • Connect Amazon; set VAT mode and Fixed Cost (Chapter 4.3)
  • Browse the Vault for 30 minutes; add a few leads to the Sourcing List
  • Open the in-app welcome guide

Days 2–7 (while the trial runs)

  • Run a Store Scan; try Price Drops if you're on Pro or above
  • Turn on auto refresh (the refresh icon, Enable Auto Refresh) on the Sourcing List; set a couple of Alerts if available
  • Run restriction checks; skim Chapter 22
  • Complete a full Lead Check on about 10 leads (Chapter 19)
  • Place your first Test-buys (small quantities) on the leads that pass, and log them (purchase log, Chapter 25)
  • Decide monthly vs annual before the trial ends (Your free trial)

Weeks 2–4

  • Keep sourcing and placing Test-buys; buy more of anything that's selling well
  • Prep, FNSKU and first Send to Amazon shipment (Chapters 26–27)
  • Note Amazon's 14-day settlement and DD+7 timing (Chapter 29)

Weeks 5–8

  • Reconcile what Amazon received vs what you sent
  • Set pricing floors; try Automate Pricing on a few SKUs (Chapter 28)
  • Download your first settlement report; update the sales side of your records
  • Keep the weekly Account Health check (Chapter 29)
  • Ask your accountant anything that's unclear about VAT or records rather than guessing

Weeks 9–13

  • Review your real buys against your Lead Check notes: what sold, at what price, and how fast
  • Optional: follow a few Watch leads in a paper-trading log to sharpen your judgement (Chapter 21)
  • Put winners on Replenishables if you have Pro (Chapter 30)
  • Consider one new route only: wholesale, A2A, or a VA seat via Custom Plan
  • If the busy late-year season is coming, read Chapter 32 and check Seller Central cut-offs and peak fees
  • Glance at turnover against the VAT threshold (check the current figure on gov.uk)

Keep going

Revisit chapters as questions come up. The handbook is meant to sit next to your weekly routine, not to be read once and closed.
