Chapter 3.1: Choosing your Amazon selling plan
Amazon has two selling plans. This page explains the difference, and why you'll want the Professional plan to use ArbiSource.
The two plans
| Individual | Professional | |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly fee | None | £25 a month (excluding VAT) |
| Per-item fee | £0.75 per unit sold (excluding VAT) | None |
| Referral fees and FBA fees | Yes | Yes |
| Works with ArbiSource | No | Yes |
| Best for | Selling the odd item occasionally | Anyone running a reselling business |

Why Professional?
- ArbiSource needs it. ArbiSource uses your seller account's connection to Amazon to pull live pricing and check which products you're allowed to sell. That connection is only available to Professional sellers.
- It's cheaper once you're selling regularly. At a few dozen sales a month, the flat monthly fee costs less than paying per item.
- It gives you the tools a business needs, including the reports, the ability to apply to sell in restricted categories, and the option to add users so a VA (virtual assistant) can help without sharing your login.
You can start on Individual and switch to Professional at any time in Seller Central, but if you're planning to use ArbiSource, it's simplest to choose Professional from the start.
